Description: The development proposal involved the complete demolition of the existing buildings on site and the building of 32 apartments and 10 houses for social rent. The houses are a mixture of four 2 bedroom and six 3 bedroom dwellings. The walls are constructed from a limited palette of materials including render, timber cladding and brickwork to give a simple contemporary feel to the elevations. The project also uses solar thermal panels to help heat the hot water and thin joint blockwork as a modern method of construction.
